LaLeLu is built so that as little data as possible is created in the first place. Video and sound run directly and encrypted between the family devices — and the only permanently stored piece of information is a small technical record that deletes itself after 30 days.

Turn a spare iPhone into a baby monitor.

Can I use an old iPhone?

Yes. LaLeLu must run on both devices and supports iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 and later, plus Mac with macOS 14 and later.

Does LaLeLu work while travelling?

Yes. Devices can connect over Wi-Fi or mobile data, making LaLeLu useful in hotels, holiday rentals and at the grandparents’ home.

Is video or audio stored?

No. Video and audio are transmitted end-to-end encrypted and are never recorded. Sound detection also runs directly on the device.

Is there a subscription?

LaLeLu is currently free and contains no subscription or advertising. You do not need a separate LaLeLu account.
